Disclaimer: Arriverr's Terms of Service require that all users be at least 18 years of age and of legal age to form a binding contract. Users under 18 and at least 13 years of age are permitted to use the site only through an account owned by their parent or legal guardian with their appropriate permission. Arriverr is a premier online marketplace, offering you a streamlined experience while finding digital services and talented freelancers. On Arriverr, freelancers present their capabilities through detailed "Gigs," providing potential customers with a comprehensive overview of their profiles, skillsets, and service offerings. How to start buying on Arriverr

Opening your Arriverr account

Signing up with Arriverr is free. Once you register, you can both buy and sell on the platform. Registering through Arriverr will create a client account by default. To become a freelancer, simply create a Gig. Switching to a freelancer account is simple and won't impact your existing client account.

Searching Freelancers and Services on Arriverr: A Guide

There are several ways to discover the perfect freelancer or service on Arriverr. Explore these methods to navigate the platform efficiently and find your perfect match:


Search Bar:

  • Enter keywords in the search bar at the top of the homepage and click "Search"
    • If you haven't logged in, you can still search from the homepage banner
  • Arriverr suggests popular searches to help you refine your query (e.g., searching "logo" might suggest "logo design")


Categories and Subcategories:

  • Use the navigation bar to browse through categories and subcategories related to your project. This helps narrow down your results and find relevant freelancers


Freelancer username:

  • If you know the specific freelancer you're looking for, simply enter their username in the search bar, under “Search usernames for:


Filters:

  • Once you have your search results, use the filters at the top of the page to refine them further. This allows you to filter by factors like budget, delivery time, freelancer level, and more. See more on search filters below

Service options | Tailor your Artiverr experience to your liking! Choose your preferred language, explore service options from subscriptions to paid video consultations, and utilize various tools to specify what exactly you want included in your chosen service.
Freelancer details | Connect with the perfect freelancer! Filter by freelancer tiers reflecting experience, availability, and even spoken language based on their location. Find someone who aligns with your needs and, perhaps, your time zone.
Budget | Decide your asking price right away. You can set a range based on your specific price point and have the flexibility to adjust it later for specific projects.
Delivery time | Whether you need express delivery in 24 hours or a timeline tailored to your project's complexity, find freelancers who guarantee on-time completion.


Get matched with freelancers:

  • Arriverr will strategically find you the highest quality service from the most relevant freelancers, based on your individual and specific needs. You will have an easy-to-complete form where you will be able to add your specific requirements.   • Explore freelancer profiles with key details like location, languages, and response times
  • The more about me section will also highlight any particular skills, experience bio, certifications
  • Explore the range of packages, from basic to premium, to get a quick overview of what each freelancer offers

Paying for a service

Once the freelancer delivers and completes the work to your satisfaction, they'll receive the full order earnings.

There's a small service fee added at checkout. This fee applies to every payment within the order, including add-ons like Gig extras and tips, even if you pay separately later. The rate itself is a simple 5.5%. However, there's an additional $3.00 fee for orders under $100. So pay once, tip generously, and leave the rest to Arriverr.

Order process


Place your order in 3 easy steps

  1. Choose your Gig: Click on the service you want.
  2. Select your package: Basic, Standard, or Premium (details included). Alternatively, get a custom offer directly from your freelancer.
  3. Finalize your order: Add extras if needed, confirm your payment method, and click "Confirm & Pay."

Completing your order

To accept or review a delivery:

  1. Head to your orders: Find the "Orders" section and click on it.
  2. Open the specific order: Locate the Gig title and click on it to access the order details.
  3. Locate the delivery: You can find the delivery either by going to the "Delivery" tab or scrolling down the order page.
  4. Accept or request revisions. Select the appropriate option: accept the delivery, need changes, or need more time. 
  5. Optional: Rate your experience.

Order terminology

Your order's status updates automatically with each action by you or the freelancer. Stay informed on the order page, where you can track its progress through various stages. Learn about the order statuses here

 

Reviews and Ratings

By prioritizing authentic and detailed reviews, Arriverr cultivates a culture of accountability and transparency. Before you can create and sell services on Arriverr, you’ll be required to create a “freelancer” account.

Managing orders 

Each order, whether a client's first or the continuation of a trusted partnership, presents a golden opportunity. A little proactivity on your part, can help smooth out the process. Remember, this doesn't just benefit your customer; it lays the foundation for long-term success, fostering loyalty, positive reviews, and potentially even larger, repeat orders down the line. After completing an order, freelancers receive 80% of the client's cleared payment in their account, with a holding period of 14 days (or a shorter holding period for Top Rated, Fiverr Pro, or other eligible programs) for processing and guarantee. Level system

Freelancers can reach different levels by meeting specific performance criteria linked to their work on the platform and their relationships with customers. Each level unlocks new benefits and opportunities. Level badges can be seen on Gig cards, Gig pages, and freelancer profiles.

Account and profile settings

How to change your location

Your location is set when you register your account and is determined according to the country from where you register.

The same applies to the phone verification process. If you verify your phone from a different location, the location may change after completing the verification process. 

If the location on your account appears to be incorrect, please contact Customer Support.


How to change your username

Note: Sellers have the option to change their display name.

Since a username is your unique identity on Arriverr, it cannot be changed. If you would like to use another username, you will need to close your account and create a new one.

 

If you would like to use the email address associated with your current account for your new account, please change this email address to a different one prior to closing the account. Once you have successfully changed the email address in your existing account first, you can then go ahead and close the account.

How to change your email address

You can change your email address via email, phone verification, or SMS.

Online status

The small circle by your username will indicate whether you're online (green circle) or offline (gray circle).
By default, your status will be set to "Online".

To change your status to "Offline":

  1. Log in > click your profile picture > Settings > Account.
  2. Under "ONLINE STATUS", you can select the amount of time you'll be "Offline" (1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, or Forever).
  3. Click Save Changes.
  4. To go back online, select "GO ONLINE" from the same drop-down menu.

Closing your account

Before you go, please be aware that by deactivating your account, you may lose all the information related to your cumulative activity on Arriverr. 

If you would like to use your existing email address for your new account, you must change the email address on your existing account first, and then close the account.

Please note:
If you have funds in your account (as a result of Completed Orders) please make sure to withdraw them prior to changing your email address.
If the funds in your account are from Canceled Orders you placed as a buyer, you may request a refund.


Verifying my account

How to change your phone number

You don't need to have access to the old phone registered on your account, you only need to know the number. The code is sent to the new number being registered.

If you don’t remember your old phone number or your security question, please contact Customer Support.

To change your phone number:

  1. Log in > click your Profile Picture > My Settings > Phone Verification > Edit.
  2. Answer your security question > Provide your old phone number > Enter your new number.
  3. You'll then receive an SMS to the new phone number to verify your account. Add the
    phone code to finalize the change.

Verifying your identity

At Arriverr, we do our best to keep our community safe for everyone, which is why we routinely ask sellers to verify their identity with an official government ID—we will only ask this once.

To verify your identity:

  1. You will need to add a photo of an official government ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) from a list of documents available to you—depending on your country of residence.
  2. After uploading your ID, you’ll be asked to take a selfie.
    Your selfie and ID must match and belong to you in order to complete the process.

How to deactivate or permanently delete your account

If you’ve decided that you no longer want to use Arriverr, this article will guide you through the steps to either deactivate or permanently delete your account. Whether you're stepping away temporarily or permanently closing your account, it's important to understand the process and implications. 

This process can be done from your desktop, iOS, or Android app

You must deactivate your account on your end before our Customer Support team can permanently delete your Arriverr account upon request.

Key considerations before deactivating your account

Important things to remember before you deactivate your account:

  • Refund or withdraw your funds: Ensure that you refund or withdraw any available funds before deactivating your account. Accounts with available funds (Arriverr balance or earned revenues) cannot be deactivated.
  • Download all your information: Make sure to download all necessary information before closing your account and requesting its deletion. Once your account is deleted we cannot edit or reissue invoices or any other information related to the account.
  • Usernames and email addresses cannot be reused: If you plan to open a new account, change your email address before deactivating the current one. Learn more about changing your email or username.
  • Deactivation doesn't automatically remove account Information: Feedback comments, messages, and public pictures will remain unless you permanently delete your account.

How to deactivate your Arriverr account

Please note, 12 months after deactivation, you will not be able to re-activate your account or access any of its content

  • On desktop
  • On iOS or Android App
  1. Click on your profile picture.
  2. Go to My settings > Account deactivation.
  3. Select a reason from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click Deactivate account.

How to permanently delete your account

Once you permanently delete your account, you won't be able to reactivate it, and the process cannot be reversed.

Before you permanently delete your account, review your orders and messages to retrieve any files and information you might need in the future.

  1. First, deactivate your account by following the steps above.
  2. Once deactivated, contact Support to permanently delete your account.

Find a service and get a quote

Arriverr offers thousands of services trying to find the perfect one for what you need can seem difficult at first. However, Arriverr's search engine can help narrow down your search to find the exact service you need.



Searching for a service

How it works

  1. At the top of the homepage, enter the service you're looking for in the search bar and click Search.
    Even if you are just visiting Arriverr (not logged in), you can enter the service in the homepage banner and click Search.


  2. When you start typing into the search bar, autocomplete suggests the most common search terms and/or the categories where you can find them.
    For example: If you enter "logo," it will suggest "logo design."


  3. Once directed to your results page, you will see a few filters at the top of the page.
    Filters vary depending on the Gig category or subcategory.
    Example: Graphics & Design has "Style," "File Format," and "Service Includes" to help narrow down service requirements to ensure better results.
    You can also set your preferred budget, delivery time, and any specific freelancer details to narrow down your search.

  4. Get inspired and find the perfect freelancer for the service you need!

Search filters
Note: As you apply filters, you will see them listed above the Marketplace. Click the (X) to remove.
Delivery time | Filter freelancers based on your preferred delivery time.
Budget | Filter your search between two suitable price points.
Online status | See if a freelancer is logged into Arriverr's website/mobile application in real-time.
Seller level | Ranging from a new freelancer to a Top Rated.
Note: Not all seller badges will physically appear on Gig listings while searching.
Language | Arriverr freelancers are located all over the world and freelancers can indicate which languages they speak. Write to freelancers in the language of your choice.
Location | Filter to find a freelancer that suits your time zone.

I found a seller I like, how do I get a quote?

The Get a quote request feature enables you to contact freelancers in regard to the details of your order, including your desired delivery time.
This provides valuable information for the freelancer which will help allow the freelancer to provide a quote customized to you. The freelancer will send a custom offer directly to your inbox.

Note: Get a quote requests are only available in certain categories, and are only optional for freelancers to apply—meaning that the option may not appear on a freelancer's profile.
We recommend communicating with the freelancer before the purchase, to ensure that all questions, requirements, and concerns are addressed prior to any transaction taking place. 




How to use the Get a Quote feature

  1. Find your Gig of choice by browsing through the thumbnails on the homepage, category, or subcategory pages. It is also possible to go directly to a freelancer's profile page if you know their username.

  2. Once logged in, from the marketplace on the homepage or category/subcategory pages, click the freelancer's Gig you would like to order.

  3. Click Get a quote on either the freelancer's profile or Gig page.

  4. Describe the specific service you are looking for and attach any relevant files (up to 1GB). This will help the freelancer cater to your specific request.

  5. Select the specific criteria for your order. For example, you can select gender, language, age range, purpose, accent, and so on. This is optional and varies based on the type of service you require.

  6. Select the service delivery time expected upon order placement.

  7. Enter your budget for the service requested (optional).

  8. Click Submit request.
    The freelancer will receive your request and reply with a quote (custom offer). You may decline or continue to purchase.

When you create your Gig, you'll have the opportunity to show off your talents, and provide buyers with all the information they could need to help them decide to do business with you.

Ensure that you have enabled your seller account using your desktop.

Open the app on a mobile device.

Click on the "account" icon (located at the bottom right of the screen).

Switch between buyer and seller modes using the toggle at the top of the page by turning seller mode on/off.

Packages allow you to offer three different service bundles to sell on your Gig Page. It’s a great way to provide your buyers with more choices, and to help push your order value higher!

Withdrawals and Deposits

Paying for Orders, Extras, or Custom Offers

Paying for an order

  • Once you have found the Gig that you would like to order, click Continue.
  • You will see the option to edit your purchase and customize your order according to your requirements and preferences. This includes adding additional services, and/or increasing the number of Gigs you would like to purchase.
  • Once you've customized your order, click Order now. You will be redirected to the payment options page, where you can select your preferred payment method. On the right side of the page, you will see the breakdown of the Gig's price, any applicable taxes, and fees. If you have a discount code, be sure to input it here.
  • Click confirm & pay and your order will be processed, you will be charged, and the order page will be created.


Paying for an extra on an ongoing order

  • To add a seller's available Extra to your order, click on Orders from the Order page
  • Click on the Gig title
  • Select Continue and mark the box under “Upgrade your order with extras” which will display the extras that are available for that particular service
  • Click on the Confirm and Pay button to purchase the Extra you would like to purchase. 

Notes:

    • Keep in mind that Extras may modify your order's delivery time frame.
    • Certain Extras may also be unavailable after the main order is purchased (such as the extra fast Extra).
    • Other Extras, such as the premium quality images, may only be purchased once throughout the order, while others can be purchased multiple times. 


Paying for a custom offer

  • When a seller sends you a custom offer or a quote, you will see the relevant button to complete the purchase.
  • If the Extra is purchased through an active Order page, the funds will be credited to that particular order. If it's a new offer, a new order page will be created.

Promo codes

If you received a promo code, you can apply it during the checkout process.

How to apply a promo code

  1. Find the Gig you want to purchase > proceed to Order.
  2. Customize your order > proceed to Payment.
  3. In the Summary section > Enter promo code > Apply > Confirm & Pay.

Troubleshooting promo code errors

The promo code was not applied to the order.

  1. Promo codes have to be input manually on the checkout page.
  2. Once you input the promo code you need to click Apply.
  3. If this is not done, the promo code will not be added to the purchase.
    If you did all of these steps and the promo code is still not reflecting, remember that:
    • Promo codes can't be applied to orders that have already been created
    • Promo codes can only be used when the service is purchased with an external payment provider, such as a credit card or PayPal.

The Promo code is giving an "Invalid" error?

Individual promo codes have unique and various terms and conditions that must be met for the promo code to be applied effectively.
Among these terms, notice that some codes:

  • Have an expiration date.
  • May only be used on certain types of orders.
    For example: Orders from Pro sellers.
  • The order must cost a specific amount
    (For example: $10 off when the purchase is for $50, and above)

Applying a promo code to an ongoing order

Currently, it's not possible to apply a discount code to an ongoing order. Promo codes must be added on the payment page, prior to completing the payment.


Payment issues

There are a number of possible reasons for your payment to fail, but we're here to help you out.
In this article, you can review all of the payment failure possibilities, as well as, how to resolve some of your payment issues.

Reasons why a payment might fail

Here are a few reasons why your payment did not work:

  1. Pending transactions (for Credit Card)
    There may be a record of a pending transaction on your bank statement when the transaction through the card was unsuccessful, and an error appears on the payment page.
    This may occur when the authorization request is sent to the banking institution and in case of an error/failure, Arriverr is making sure to cancel/void the authorization.

    Please note:
    Depending on the processing time by your bank, the funds from canceled/voided authorizations should be placed back on your card within 2-7 days.

  2. Pending transactions (for PayPal)
    There may be a record of a pending transaction on your bank statement when the transaction through the PayPal method doesn’t succeed, and an error appears in the checkout.
    PayPal handles this accordingly by releasing the originally reserved/held funds.
    We recommend reaching out to PayPal directly for additional information.

  3. Cancellations/voided authorizations vs. refunds
    Cancellation/voiding of the authorization is not the same as a refund, so there won’t be a record of the refund on your bank statement. The funds originally reserved/held by the bank for the transaction will just be released back to your card's balance.

What to do if your payment fails?

When a payment fails, make sure that

  1. You input your card information correctly.
  2. Your card is valid.
  3. You haven't exceeded the limit on your card.

You can also contact your bank to make sure that you can make payments to an international company based in Israel.

How to troubleshoot payment issues?

To resolve issues with your payment, try these options:

  1. Contact your credit card company or PayPal.
    • If you attempted a payment through a credit card: Contact your credit card company to make sure there isn't an issue with your account.
    • If you attempted a payment through PayPal: We recommend contacting PayPal to ask for clarification on why the payment failed.

  2. Try a different payment method.
    • If you used a credit card, you have the option to use Paypal instead
    • If you used Paypal, please try using a credit card that is not attached to the same banking institution

  3. If you tried to purchase only once, then you may want to try one more time.
    To try again, start the checkout process from the start.

  4. Don’t click the "Go back" button on the browser or refresh the page. 

Note: Error messages will appear on the payment page.

Important: If you have tried all of these options and everything is working on your end, but the payment has still not gone through successfully, you can contact Customer Support

What to do if you were charged twice?

A payment may have gone through more than once because:

  1. The checkout session was interrupted. Alternatively, the activity may have been repeated by clicking the "back arrow" in the browser or by refreshing the page. Clicking "go back"  and refreshing the checkout page is not recommended. 

  2. The payment button may have been pressed twice. When there are multiple attempts to place a purchase sometimes the payment processor authorizes multiple attempts. This causes the card to be charged twice.

If you were billed more than once, please contact Customer Support.

To speed up the process, have the following details available:

For payment through PayPal | For payment through a credit/debit card

Payment methods

Arriverr has a number of available payment methods. The different available payment methods are dependent on the type of device being used, your country of residence, and regulatory permissions.

The different payment methods/options you can pay with are listed below.

Note: We currently do not accept crypto as a payment method.

Credit/Debit Card | Make purchases using almost any type of major credit/debit card. | 
PayPal | You can pay with PayPal. You also have the option to connect your PayPal account with your Arriverr account for a faster check-out.

Using your Arriverr balance

If you have funds in your account balance, they will be automatically applied to your next purchase.
If the purchase is for a higher amount than what you have available in your balance, you can use another source of payment to complete the purchase.

On the checkout page, you will see:

  • The total amount due
  • The amount you have available on your personal balance
  • The amount that needs to be paid for with another payment source (PayPal or Credit card)—if the purchase is for more than what's in your personal balance

    Note: If you're making a purchase as a member of a team account, you won't be able to use a second payment source. In these cases, if the purchase is larger than the amount in your balance, you may only use one payment source.

FAQs

  1. Why is my preferred payment method not available?
    The payment providers you see on the checkout page are those available to you depending on your country of residence.  We are limited by the list of countries where our third-party payment providers offer services.
    Note: We are constantly adding new payment methods so stay tuned for updates.


  2. How do I make a cash deposit to my account?
    At this time, we don't have the option for buyers to load funds into their Fiverr balance. The reason why some accounts have an available balance is that they have earned revenues, refunds from canceled orders, or funds added by Arriverr as credits.
    Note: Cash deposits can be made on Arriverr Pro accounts.


  3. Will my credit card be removed after a certain period of time?
    If your payment method is not being used consistently, our system will remove it. This is an automated process where we will remove the payment method if it isn’t used for over 4 months. If you are still experiencing payment issues, see Payment issues.

  4. How do I get funds to my Arriverr balance?
    As a buyer, if you receive a refund, it will appear in your Arriverr balance and can be used for another purchase. If an order is canceled, your refund (the original order amount and service fee) will be placed in your Arriverr balance.

  • Any funds in your Arriverr balance, including refunded amounts from previous cancellations, are automatically applied towards your next purchase.
  • If your balance is insufficient for the entire purchase, you'll be prompted to add another payment method to cover the remaining cost.
  • On the checkout page, you'll see the total cost, your available balance, and any remaining amount needed to complete the purchase using another payment method (e.g., credit card or PayPal).
